Data and Privacy Policy

YourGuide Ltd (referred to in this Data and Privacy Statement as “we” or “YourGuide”) recognises the importance of protecting the privacy of all information provided by our customers, users of our web site, subscribers, recipients of our buyers’ guides and recipients of our email new product newsletters.

This policy has been created with a fundamental respect for our users’ right to privacy and to guide our relationships with our users. This privacy statement discloses the privacy practices for all YourGuide owned products and services.

We will only ever process information for legitimate business interests and understand that all users have a right to object to its use and to be forgotten. We provide a simple one step way for a user to request that their data is totally deleted from our systems. We have conducted a Legitimate Interest Assessment for processing data.

Information Collection And Use
YourGuide collects information from our customers, website users and subscribers. We only collect the information necessary to provide our service to customers and users. We only publish data in our printed and online buyers guides that is readily available in the public domain and the data can be removed from our systems by emailing neal@yourguides.net

As a publisher of trade publications and websites that are produced to inform and assist trade professionals we may from time to time send a sample of our printed Buyers Guide and website (on a B2B basis) to a company that is actively involved in the related industry. We will only use and process data that is available in the public domain and we always provide an easy opt out from receiving any further information from YourGuide.

The data we hold could be your name, company, company address, phone number, email address, business description (e.g manufacturer) and industry served.

Registration, Ordering And Payment
Many of our products and services are free to subscribers who meet certain business criteria. Our products are produced for business professionals operating in each industry. For our services that require payment (such as advertising), we may collect credit card information (such as card holder name, number and expiration date), which is used for payment purposes only, and the details are deleted fully once we have processed the transaction. We do not store credit card details for future transactions.

Email New Product Newsletters
If users wish to subscribe to our email newsletters, we ask for contact information (such as name, email address and company). Recipients of our newsletters can unsubscribe at any time simply using the instructions listed at the end of the email newsletter or by emailing neal@yourguides.net with the subject unsubscribe - their details will be deleted immediately / forgotten.

Communications With Us
We have features where users can submit information to us (such as our contact form or request for free Buyers Guides). Requests for service, support or information may be forwarded as needed to best respond to a specific request. We may retain emails and other information sent to us for our internal administrative purposes, and to help us to serve customers better.

Communications From Us
In order to best serve our customers, we may send updates that contain important information about our printed buyers’ guides, sites and services. We may communicate with a user to provide requested services and for account-related issues via email, phone or regular mail. Users can choose not to receive these communications by emailing neal@yourguides.net.

Use Of Cookies
We use traffic log cookies on our website to identify which pages are being used. This helps us to analyse data about webpage traffic and improve our website in order to tailor it to customer needs. We only use this information for statistical analysis purposes and this data is not used or shared with third parties on an individual basis. e.g. We do inform visitors of the most popular pages visited on our website but no individual data of who visited is provided.

For our internal purposes, we gather date, time, browser type, navigation history and IP address of all visitors to our site. This information does not contain anything that can identify users personally. We use this information for our internal security audit log, trend analysis and system administration, and to gather broad demographic information about our user base.

We may combine demographic information supplied by a subscriber at registration with site usage data to provide general profiles, in aggregate non-personally identifiable form, about our users and their preferences in the content of the site and advertising. Who Your Information Is Shared With

Correction And Updating Of Personal Information
If a user‘s personally identifiable information changes (such as address), or if a user no longer wishes to receive our product(s)/service(s), we provide an easy way to correct or update that user‘s personal data. The user should contact YourGuide by emailing neal@yourguides.net.

Anyone wishing to unsubscribe from YourGuide’s Annual or Quarterly printed Buyers Guide or new product newsletters should email: neal@yourguides.net We will endeavour to implement requests within a reasonable time, although for a time users may continue to receive mailings due to timing and information already released prior to the implementation of the request.

Security Of Data Held
We use reasonable precautions to protect our users’ personal information and to store it securely. In addition, access to all of our users’ information is restricted. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, a customer service representative) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The servers on which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment and require two stage verification to access them. We only process data that is essential to carry out our legitimate business interests and this data is readily available in the public domain.
