After a great response from the specialized public and companies from Latin America and other countries, UK based JPM International Limited, initiated its expansion in Latin America at the Andean Gaming Expo, FADJA 2009 in Bogota, Colombia. During the two days JPM received a large group of visitors at their stand and were thrilled with the response and interest on the software and machines exhibited. JPM is a market leader in the electronic gaming machine industry and the company designs and manufactures fruit machines and electronic quiz games that are found in pubs, bars and amusement arcades throughout the UK and other European countries.

JPM currently designs and manufactures two categories of gaming machines, Amusement with Prizes ("AWP") and Skill with Prizes ("SWP"). In addition to selling games hardware, the company also generates income through the sale of Kits, spare parts and on-line games through sister company JPM interactive. Additionally the company provides game content for Patientline, an entertainment system for hospitals. AWP machines are traditional microprocessor operated fruit machines. SWP machines, mainly a UK product, are a more recent innovation than AWP and usually take the form of a machine with a video console. This can be a touch screen or button operated device that is in the form of a quiz or other competition based game such as Who Wants to be a Millionaire.

To introduce its products to the Latin American market JPM will initially be supplying Kits. Kits are upgrades that can be installed into existing machines for AWP and now SWP too. They are used to maintain interest by upgrading existing games to improve performance, or to allow for changes in legislation. SWP game upgrades usually consist of a CD ROM with a selection of 4 to 6 new or classic games and can be installed into existing machines to maintain customer interest at the site. Kits are computerized boxes which could be applied to any machine that is already in use and with the use of LCD screen or touch screens, will convert an old machine in a new and sophisticated attraction to any customer.

The main kit will be Tornado Games. Tornado Games is typical of the quality of graphics and attention to detail that has made JPM games so popular. Offering a comprehensive mix the compendium will appeal to a wide range of player with differing game interests. 3 Casino Style game, Roulette, Bonus Poker and the innovative Blackjack Switch (unique to JPM machines), are joined with fun casino style games Prophet, It Came from Outer Space, Cash Dive along with the latest development Golden Cherry with its additional 6th reel feature.

Each of the Slot games in the Tornado Games package has been specifically designed for video cabinets and is all multi line, multi reel games with second screen bonus features for exciting game play and excellent player retention. This flexibility allows site operators the best selections to attract and retain a wider range of players.

Any company or owner interested in JPM products will be able to channel requests for their software through representatives in Latin America. Although, if the orders fulfill more than 50 requests JPM will handle directly with the owner or company interested in purchasing the product. It is in the interest of JPM to expand the network and after their experience during FADJA, JPM is highly actively looking to establish strong relationships with the Latin America market.

“We are very confident the attendance at FADJA will open for us a market we have been looking to explore for many years, and the response to our products has gone beyond our expectations,” said Duncan Cheadle, Business Development Director for JPM. “The Kits will enhance the productivity of many machines that may have been left behind due to the technological advances. Now is the time to recycle these machines and convert them with new JPM technology and games to gain new customers.”

During the two days of exhibition, JPM representatives from many companies across a wide range of industry sectors. These covered all areas where JPM’s technology could be applied, from machines in pubs, bars and amusement arcades, specialized gaming stores and many others which are a key to success in the gaming machine industry. The Latin American gaming and amusement market has exceeded the predictions made by many and become a market of high interest to domestic and international. Many sites and locations have a new technological infrastructure, but many others that thought they will need to discard their machines, now with JPM they have a new opportunity to improve their customer offering on a level with the same technology new stores are offering. This gives the opportunity to stores to gain new customers, expand and generate new job opportunities to people that may be interested in growing the gaming stores population in Latin America.
