Security plays an essential role for SUZOHAPP, the global manufacturer of payment systems, solutions and components. That is why SUZOHAPP works with the Central Banks around the globe to ensure that its cash-handling products accept the currency programmed and are programmed to reject all known fraud coins.
The European Central Bank is focused on the fight against counterfeiting through law enforcement, technical analysis and judicial cooperation, stressing the importance of installing only acceptance and control systems certified annually on every piece of equipment. Annual certification ensures that payment systems can recognize all the new counterfeit coins introduced in the market.
The European Central Bank has acknowledged the security of two SUZOHAPP key product groups – the Currenza C2 coin recycler and the COMESTERO RM5 HD electronic coin validator. Both products have passed the latest Detection Test in March 2016 by the ECB according to Article 5 of the EU regulation No. 1210/2010, confirming the most reliable counterfeit discrimination.
During the tests, in fact, both the Currenza C2 coin recycler and the RM5 HD electronic coin validator obtained 100% acceptance rate, both in terms of identifying authentic coins and rejecting counterfeits.
Mr. Marcel Oelen, SUZOHAPP EMEA Managing Director, commented “We are very proud of this result since it has confirmed, once again, the maximum reliability and security of our coin validating solutions. We know how important the acceptance of true coins is and the rejection of counterfeits. We ensure that any potential new frauds in the industry are programmed to be completely rejected. This experience and knowledge have to be confirmed and that is why we work with the Central Banks to ensure that we have the latest true and fraud coin information reflected in our coin data base”.
The confirmation that Currenza C2 and RM5 HD have passed the very latest Detection Tests is a reflection on the product quality and security, which are vital due to their widespread use on any type of machine - vending and gaming machines, retail and transport solutions, car wash systems as well as cash points for laundrettes.
