Fujitsu has established its name on the Kiosk market with a wide range of thermal printers and touch panels. Recognized product engineers and a long presence on the Kiosk market makes it possible for Fujitsu to assist its partners and customers in every way possible and to share knowledge and experience. Fujitsu continuously improves and broadens its product line up to meet the rapidly evolving POS and Kiosk requirements. Besides print and touch solutions Fujitsu is pleased to announce that they are now also able to provide communication solutions with its wireless modules product range. Fujitsu wireless modules can make communication possible between POS/Kiosk terminals and exterior devices. Wireless modules The Fujitsu Bluetooth modules are able to realise communication between the Kiosk terminals and (mobile) devices. These Bluetooth modules are available in surface mount or connector joint types, power class 1 or 2 and with or without integrated antenna. The Bluetooth modules have been designed based on the CSR Blue Core 4 chip. Due to the incorporation of the upper level protocol stacks and serial port profile (SPP) users can control Bluetooth easily via text base commands. Fujitsu Bluetooth modules are a simple and cost efficient solution reducing development time and cost. To enable, for instance, a wireless connection of a Kiosk terminal with the internet or a local network Fujitsu provides WLAN modules. With the WLAN modules the complete IEEE 802.11 standards are covered. Fujitsu has modules that support IEEE 802.11 a/b/g, 802.11 b/g and also one that supports 802.11 b/g/draft-n. For the best performance Fujitsu uses the market proven IC?s from Marvel (88W8686), Ralink (RT 3070) and Atheros (AR6002X). Software- & driver support is offered for various operating systems and processors. Besides Bluetooth and WLAN modules Fujitsu offers also a combination of WLAN and Bluetooth in one module and GPS modules. These modules are available as surface mount and connector joint type and can be equipped with an ultra wide band antenna. Fujitsu provides a high level of support; WLAN driver, customization, antenna integration and assistance on certifications to make wireless as simple as possible.
