27/3/07 - Megatouch Force Replacing the Maxx 01/01/07
Merit Entertainment announced today that its Megatouch Force™ is replacing the Maxx™ as its legacy product line. As it looks to the future with the now-established ION™ and its cutting-edge Aurora™ games, Merit is committed to continued software development and support for its veteran Force games. Merit will also continue to offer Maxx-to-Force upgrade kits. However, effective immediately, Merit will no longer offer support for Maxx systems.
Maxx operators who still wish to obtain a final software upgrade for the system may purchase Maxx Crown, which includes new hits like Card Raiders™. Maxx Crown will remain available through distributors until August 31, 2007.
Merit started building the Maxx system in 1999 as a successor to its breakthrough Megatouch® XL touch-screen systems. The Maxx remained its flagship until Merit unveiled the Force in 2001. The Maxx name will live on embedded in Merit’s Tournamaxx system.
For Maxx operators who still need board service, please understand that the parts may no longer be available and that Merit is not able to source components. Merit recommends contacting:
