The Motion Master 30 by Garmendale is our biggest ride solution. The MotionMaster 30 (MM30) is a 30 seater 3 DOF (Degree of freedom) centrally guided dark ride system. Travelling along the continuous track from the loading station into the ride area. Designed to rotate, pitch and roll simultaneously, travelling in a forward motion, carrying 30 passengers in five rows of six forward facing seats.

The Motion Platform Immersive Tunnel ride system comprises two identical independent track based themed vehicles, each with 3DOF motion platforms beneath. The vehicles travel along the track from the loading station into a screened show area. The motion vehicles are synchronised with the show media for the duration of the ride.

The vehicles reverse back into the loading station. Each vehicle / motion platform has a passenger carriage on top that has 5 rows of 6 passengers (30 per vehicle). The vehicles are designed for passengers with a minimum height of 1.1 m and an average passenger weight of 75 kg across the 2,250kg total passenger capacity.

Why Electric?

The big advantage of electric operation over hydraulics are clear. Firstly the noise of hydraulics is often so intrusive it can kill the atmosphere in the ride’s quiet periods. Secondly reliability – In our test runnings and in the existing installations in Europe and the Middle East, the reliability has been nothing short of exceptional.

Development Time

We spent many years designing and engineering the system and installations are now complete across a number of sites. The first of these was built and installed in Bobbejaanland in Belgium. This was delivered with a purpose built video screen system too and is now operating as the ‘Forbidden Caves’ complete with exceptional theming and a purpose designed IP throughout.

The Forbidden Caves takes guests on an action-packed subterranean adventure filled with supernatural creatures and was designed by Super 78, based in Los Angeles, California.
