Gemmell & Prout Marine Ltd is a privately owned company, it was formed in 1994 when L.G. Prout & Sons Ltd purchased the company Gemmell & Frow Ltd who had been trading since 1898.

Since 1994 the company has continued to develop combining the experience of over 100 years and modern technology the company has grown into one of the UK's most respected manufacturer of hoisting equipment for all industries throughout the world.
