MWM has supplemented its product portfolio for efficient gas gensets with SCR catalyst solutions to effectively reduce emissions of combined heat and power plants and cogeneration power plants.

The Mannheim-based company now offers a compact complete SCR solution, with an optional urea tank and urea solution, for both new and existing plants. SCR technology enables the reliable reduction of NOx emissions, supporting compliance with the latest emissions regulations, and facilitating broader use of gensets in distributed generation applications, a key enabler on the path to a reduced-carbon future. In addition, financing of the products can be provided for qualified customers.

Distributed energy generation with gas engines is already playing a key role in attaining the climate goals set by governments and legislators around the globe. In addition, using biomethane and other biogases from renewable raw materials supports the path toward a reduced-carbon future. Moreover, distributed generation helps to balance fluctuations in the availability of wind and solar energy in a reliable, flexible way, thereby ensuring grid stability. "By introducing SCR technology, we have supplemented our product portfolio with another component by means of which our customers can contribute to the reduction of emissions," explains Christian Wurst, Commercial Aftermarket Manager.

MWM Service Minimizes Downtime

MWM Service can convert existing plants within a brief period. This keeps downtimes to a minimum. For this purpose, MWM Service evaluates the measures that must be taken in advance to facilitate a smooth and prompt conversion. Once the existing auxiliaries have been dismantled, the new SCR system can be mounted. Additionally, the urea tank is set up, and the control system is installed. Finally, the new SCR system is connected and integrated with the existing MWM TEM or TPEM engine control. After initial installation, remote access to the plant can also assure quick support and high plant availability.
