L&W Wilson (Endmoor) Ltd: Off Grid Power for Aggregate Recycling & Aggregate Washing Facility.
JCB Power Products’ dealer for the North of the UK and Scotland, Scot Industrial Air, has supplied a generator for a customer which is enabling increased aggregate production at a quarry in beautiful Cumbria – home of the Lake District. L&W Wilson (Endmoor) Ltd was originally a Road Haulage & Plant Hire business but has evolved to become a specialist in a number of areas including aggregate supplies, civil engineering, demolition, excavation & earth works, waste disposal, more recently, aggregate crushing & screening, and aggregate recycling.
The new generator – JCB G601QX – has been installed on site at Roan Edge Quarry in Cumbria, along with a multi-million pound Centrifuge based aggregate recycling & aggregate washing plant recently purchased by L&W Wilson. The quarry was originally reopened in the 90’s to meet increased demand for virgin & recycled aggregates from local builders, developers, large construction contractors and other businesses. After subsequent closure it has since become active again thanks to L&W Wilson and is now taking construction waste for recycling into sand and sized aggregates to fulfil local demand for building materials. The JCB G601QX generator is running all the large plant within the site; which are working simultaneously for up to 24 hours per day.
L&W Wilson is a long standing customer of Scot JCB, parent company of Scot Industrial Air, and also runs JCB excavators, rollers and wheeled loaders in addition to the generator. The productivity of the G601QX combined with its compact footprint were key factors in its purchase, along with the service the company consistently receives from Scots. Byron Wilson specified the machine and is very happy with its performance.
