The Westonbirt Urn from Haddonstone is a beautifully ornate, cast stone garden container originally commissioned as a commemorative piece by the governors of Westonbirt School in Gloucestershire. The original Westonbirt Urn was manufactured by Pulham from a design attributed to the architect Lewis Vulliamy (1791 – 1871) who was active in the early nineteenth century. This scaled-down replica of the original Westonbirt Urn is typical of Vulliamy’s style, featuring spiraled gadrooning and egg-and-dart rim.
