Resorts in the leisure industry are becoming increasingly savvy about the advantages of adding waterpark elements to their facilities. Even those sitting beachside realize that families, in particular, prefer spending time in the sun playing on aquatic offerings that have been specifically designed to create a safe and entertaining environment.
The Hotel Globales Playa Estepona in Malaga, Spain, recently proved its dedication to giving guests exactly those kinds of amenities with the opening of the biggest waterpark resort project in that country: Splash World Waterpark.
The waterpark covers more than 215,278 square feet (20,000 square meters) and was designed and supplied by Polin Waterparks. Waterpark designs with attractive appeal
Polin used RTM manufactured waterslides throughout the park. This technology offers multiple advantages. Chief among them are low emissions - an important aspect for environmental reasons and the safety of workers - as well as components that are stronger, lighter and have uniform thickness. Those benefits make the products much easier to install than comparable products. As far as guests are concerned, however, the main advantages to Polin's process is how the slides look and feel. Both sides of every waterslide component have a smooth, silky finish. And their colorful, shiny interiors and exteriors create stunning views for both riders and those simply admiring the attractions from the ground.
Those views are enhanced by additional features that Polin incorporates into many of the slides - specifically its patented Natural Light Effects (NLE) technology. Polin's technology relies exclusively on the benefit of the sun's natural light and is incorporated directly into the composites of the slides' components. As water flows through these components, it interacts with the sunlight to create glowing, colorful designs to riders as they slide through. Then, as the angle and strengh of the sun changes throughout the day, the interior designs change and adapt to continually create a harmonious and magical appearance.
Attractions for any size of child
Splash World had its grand opening in May 2015. Thrill-seekers visiting the resort will find waterslides that provide white-knuckle rides while families can splash in shallow waters with toddler-friendly features.
The main attractions for adults are:
* A Multi Slide. * A Kamikaze. * A Black Hole. * Two Space Holes. * An Aquatube.
For little ones, Polin has designed a bevy of waterplay options to keep kids safe and busy. At Splash World, they can experience the fun of:
* An Octopus Slide. * A Mini Pirate Slide. * A Rabbit Slide. * A Mushroom.
The main attraction for children, however, is Polin's B6 Type Water Play Structure. Created with safety as their foremost feature, these water play structures incorporate numerous fun elements to keep kids busy, such as tipping buckets, slides, net climbs and water cannons. These elements appeal to children's natural curiosity and desire to learn, allowing them to move, play and explore safely. Polin's play structures are available in different sizes, colors and themes.
Aquatic attractions keep guests on-site
Splash World's other water offerings include a huge wave pool, as well as a giant L-shaped pool with a bar and a more relaxed pool located in the hotel's gardens.
Stratos Diamantopoulos, the resort owner, says guests can find all the entertainment options they need to keep them entertained without ever leaving the resort. "We are the highest quality resort in Spain, but we want to continually be improving and always offering our guests the most relaxing, fun experience for their holiday travels," he says. "The waterpark attractions at Splash World do exactly that. And guests have already told us that the new slides have truly made their visits memorable."
