Semnox Solutions has announced that its flagship product, Parafait has achieved the Payment Card Industry’s Payment Application Data Security Standard (PCI PA-DSS) Version 3.0 certification, the most stringent security standard in the industry for personal information protection and e-commerce transactions. Established by global credit-card firms, this is now a required standard enabling the creation of a secure environment for companies processing, storing or transmitting credit-card data over the internet.
PA-DSS is the standard against which Parafait has been tested, assessed, and certified. The PA-DSS Validation is envisioned to ensure that Parafait will help to achieve and maintain security Compliance with respect to how it handles user accounts, passwords, encryption, and other customer sensitive information. To achieve PA-DSS compliance, Semnox partnered with Control Case a Qualified Security Assessor (PA-QSA) approved by the PCI-SSC council to conduct the PA-DSS assessments and to complete the required Report on Validation.
Security will always remain a key issue in our industry and as such Semnox is committed to making the security and reliability of our products a top priority” said Mathew Ninan, Vice President of Software Development, Semnox Solutions. “This was a tough challenge which involved a lot of effort and investment from our team. However, in achieving this we have further cemented our position as a leading technology provider for the Entertainment, Theme park and F&B Industries” he added.
Parafait is now included on the PCI SSC’s list of Validated payment applications. The list identifies payment applications that have been audited by an independent assessor, found to be compliant with the industry’s most stringent set of comprehensive standards designed to protect sensitive customer information.
