Designed to interface with PLC systems, the PLUS II printer from Custom Printers features a new USB interface to allow easy connection using the WinCE 3.0 and 5.0 drivers. The printer has already demonstrated its reliability, having been installed in thousand of fire alarms in applications from ships to hotels.
Thanks to the inclusion of an anti-stick roller and enhancements to the print head, the printer now enables users to print labels, then tear and stick them directly to their products, just by changing a setting on the printer. Linerless labels are a new concept in printing where the roll of label paper contains the glue on the back thereby avoiding the need for complex black mark settings to determine where the label needs to line up in the printer. The user simply sends the data to the printer and tears off the label.
The II version offers the option to either a serial/TTL or USB interface and enables loading of paper with one hand by the simple press of a button. An optional black front cover is available for use in bright light conditions. The printer operates from a supply voltage of 3.3 to 7 V.
Target applications include measurement and analysis instruments, sterilisation equipment, fire alarm panels, portable terminals, weighing systems, taximeters, access control, industrial test benches and control panels and truck tachographs.
