accesso (AIM:ACSO), the premier technology solutions provider to leisure, entertainment and cultural markets, has been honored with a Queen's Award for Enterprise in the Innovation category for the second time, in recognition of its virtual queuing solution, accesso LoQueueSM.
Now in its 50th year, The Queen’s Award is the most prestigious award for UK businesses and champions the work that small firms do in the areas of exporting, innovation and enterprise promotion.
Since 1999, accesso LoQueue virtual queuing solutions have been helping theme park guests save vacation time by reserving their spot in line virtually using a proprietary handheld device, smart phone or RFID wristband. To date company officials estimate their technology has helped save guests more than 4.5 billion minutes in queuing time.
"We are immensely proud to receive this prestigious award,” said Tom Burnet, accesso CEO. “Our dedication to innovation and technology has helped us become the leading provider of virtual queuing and ticketing solutions for venues around the world and we are proud to be recognized for our efforts,"
accesso previously received The Queen’s Award for International Trade in 2011.
