23/08/2005 Elaut purchases Monduce
01/01/07
In joint statements from Neal Rosenberg of Elaut Amusement Games, Bruce Kawut of Monduce, and Robert Fesjian of Mondial has announced that today Elaut has purchased, an equity position in the Monduce organization, one of the largest operators and concessionaires of coin-operated equipment to the amusement and theme park industry. These concessions include unique remote-controlled truck and boat attractions and traditional coin-operated arcades located in various large amusement and theme parks throughout the United States.
Monduce has always been extremely proud of their long term established relationships with the market's leading theme park operators including Anheuser-Busch, operator of Sea World and Busch Gardens, Paramount Parks, Walt Disney World Attractions, and the Six Flags group.
Elaut, located in Sint-Niklaas, Belgium, and the industry's original designer of the Big Choice crane and the oldest manufacturer of modern day merchandising equipment including the Big One crane game, and strong counterpart to Monduce in the European theatre as an operator of amusement devices within the amusement and theme park industry.
Elaut is under the direction of the Verstraeten family, with Eric Verstraeten as Managing Director, and the Verstraeten family has had a long standing relationship with Bruce Kawut and Monduce, so it was no surprise that this all came together rather quickly, especially realizing that Neal Rosenberg was handling the point work and spearheading the project.
Elaut recently completed the acquisition of the Ballentine organization in Germany, formally owned by Jerry Ballentine, and as such making Elaut one of the largest operators of amusement devices in the amusement park arena within Europe.
The Monduce acquisition was accomplished when Robert Fesjian of Mondial, after the passing of Richard Sarkisian a few months ago, decided to exit the operating end of the coin machine industry, and so with Elaut's desire to expand their role within the United States and to establish a "brick and motor" home base within the States, it has purchased all the shares of stock held by Mondial International in the Monduce company.
Bruce Kawut will remain in his current role as CEO.
Neal Rosenberg will be joining Monduce and serving as President, while retaining his role as Director of Elaut's USA division, with his main goal being the smooth transfer and integration of both units under one roof.
Richard Listash will continue his role at Monduce as Vice President and Director of Operations.
The new management team will be rounded out with Knut Danielsen coming over from Mondial and serving as Treasurer and CFO of Monduce.
All aspects of the companies business will now operate out of their existing Edison, New Jersey facility, and the current executive offices of Monduce, in Pelham Manor, New York will be closed. Effective immediately, all of the staff of Monduce can be reached at 1-732-494-4900, and Neal can be reached at 1-516-764-7888 as well as the Monduce office.
Mondial International will continue to maintain their office in Pelham Manor, New York.
In a personal comment, Neal stated that he's looking forward to having a real office outside of his home base where he can hang his hat and once again have a cup of coffee along with a conversation with real live people instead of four walls. I think that there are probably several people out there who must feel the same way, and are tired of suffering from what Neal called "House-a-Tosses."
