7-colour backlit trackballs "Chameleon" NSI introduces their 2 new backlit trackballs. These panel mount industrial grade 50mm trackballs, feature 7-colour illumination of the total ball surface and of the mouse button legends. Up to seven different colours can be selected by internal settings on the trackball or by remote dynamic selection via an output connector. For both selection methods, internal or remote, the illumination intensity can be dimmed. The total unit is sealed to IP65 static and comes with a silicon sponge to seal the carrier plate into the users' cabinet or console. Two basic versions are offered . One with aluminium carrier plate and two short travel switches and dark coloured polyester overlay. The other version is with stainless steel carrier plate and two long travel stainless steel switches. The output is combo PS/2 & USB with auto-recognition and in both cases the current for the illumination is drained from the mouse ports.
NSI introduces their new completely waterproof and vandalproof industrial trackball unit. All parts of this unit are waterproof to IP68 sealing grade : not just the trackball itself but also the three switches and the specially made panel sealring which forms part of the supply. The total unit was immersed under 1 meter of water during 48 hours and was successfully tested. The waterproof level of the trackball module is inherent to the used Optical Navigation Technology with solid state sensing. The trackball is maintenance free as there are no moving parts except for the ball and it withstands impacts on the top of over 20 Joules. The unit has an appealing look and robust construction, the carrier plate, cover ring and the three anti-vandal switches being all made of high grade stainless steel. Thanks to its unique sealing - and impact characteristics and to its industrial robustness, this trackball unit becomes the optimum pointing device for all harsh or hostile environments, indoor and outdoor. Based on the standard 105 key short travel keyboard, it combines all functions, controls and features for comfortable key input and cursor control under low light conditions as well as under normal daylight. This sealed industrial keyboard integrates a 50mm large industrial grade trackball for accurate and precise cursor control.
Not only the key legends, but also the complete key edges and the trackball contour are backlit. The backlight is digitally dimmable at 8 distinctive levels in order to set it to the operators' best comfort. An automatic night/day sensor controls the on/off setting of the EL-lamp and the luminosity of the ?numlock? and ?capslock? Led's. Several internal features warant for a longer life of the backlighting source. The Night Vision is available as panel mount version or as desktop version in a steel enclosure. The units are PS/2 or USB compatible.
NSI introduces a new range of waterproof short travel keyboards : The KST series of industrial keyboards use short travel switches with low pressure and positive tactile feedback for convenient, increased speed data input. The range consists of 105 key, full multi-functional keyboards, with separate numeric-, cursor- and controlkeypads and is offered with an integrated 50 mm IP68 sealed optical trackball or a touchpad.
The waterproof level of the unit is obtained thanks to the inherent sealing capabilities of its polyester front and of the trackballs' "Optical Navigation Technology" or the touchpad technology, both with solid state sensing.
The fields of industrial applications are very wide; indoor- and outdoor where a higher input speed is required while maintaining outstanding sealing characteristics. The unit is PS/2 or USB compatible.
