The Hilton Dalaman Sarigerme Resort & Spa, Turkey has chosen Polin as its partner in expanding its waterpark. The property first enlisted Polin's help with the original installation of its aquatic attractions two years ago. Since then, Polin's waterslides and water play attractions have been so popular among guests that Hilton management decided to add additional waterslides this year.
An Award-Winning Facility
The Hilton Dalaman is an acclaimed facility, both among Hilton properties as well as among resorts on an international level. Specifically, last year, the Hilton Hotels & Resorts brand conducted a customer-satisfaction survey. The survey's respondents chose the Hilton Dalaman Sarigerme as tops in two categories: "Europe's Best Food and Beverage Hotel" and "Europe's Excellence in Service." In addition, the facility was chosen as one of the 100 best hotels in the world by Russian guests in 2011.
The property also has received awards as Turkey's "Leading Beach Resort" by the World Travel Awards in 2010 and 2011, as Europe's "Leading Wedding Honeymoon and Wedding Resort" in 2011 and as recipient of TripAdvisor's "Certificate of Excellence" in 2010 and 2011.
Among guests to the area, the property is especially popular among English-speaking visitors who recommend it highly to anyone visiting the region.
A Trip to Paradise
The Hilton property isn't the only local attraction receiving awards, though. So, too, has the nearby Iztuzu Beach. It is only the second beach in the world to receive awards for the preservation of natural habitat. Such preservation is critical to maintain an area in which the endangered loggerhead turtle, known locally as the Caretta Caretta turtle, feels safe enough to lay their eggs.
A natural wonder, Iztuzu Beach has fresh water on one end and the Mediterranean on the other with smooth and velvety golden sand. This location makes it unlike any other beach in the world-and perfect for as a loggerhead habitat. The Hilton Dalaman Sarigerme Resort & Spa aids in protecting the ecosystem by taking precautions to abide by all laws and regulations put in place for protecting the Caretta Caretta sea turtles and their eggs.
The image of paradise is also reinforced by the stunning mountain, river and Mediterranean Sea views guests of the resort enjoy, plus its appealing extracurricular activities. Visitors can stroll along Sarigerme's main streets, browse Turkish boutiques and markets, indulge in Dalyan's natural mud springs, marvel at underwater attractions, stroll through 5,000-year-old monuments and even satisfy adventurous inclinations with paragliding-a local specialty sport.
Additional Appeal of Onsite Attractions
Guests needn't stray from the property's grounds to entertain themselves, however. In the initial installation of water-play features, two adult slides and two kid-sized slides kept guests entertained with exciting onsite thrills.
These four original offerings were:
Body Slide. Riders experience a variety of speeds as they maneuver through drops and straight-aways on this ride.
Multi Slide. This interactive slide gives guests the joy of head-to-head competition as they speed down the lanes in an attempt to beat one another to the bottom.
Freefall. Guests experienced adrenalin-soaring drops in this ride that combines maximum excitement, safety and entertainment.
Kid-Sized Freefall. This attraction mimics the excitement of the adult version on a kid-friendly level.
Kid-Sized Wide Slide. Kids experience a mini rush as they ride this version developed originally for adults only.
In the expansion of the Hilton Dalaman Sarigerme Resort & Spa, Polin has added these additional attractions:
Black Hole with Natural Light Effects. Thisenclosed tube slide is Polin's most-popular ride. Guests experience unique, dramatic special effects as they travel at high speeds through the slides' twists and turns.
Wave Slide.Thishigh-speed ride delivers a breathtaking experience guests won't soon forget.
Rabbit Slide. A kid-friendly slide, this cute attraction is often a child's first ride experience.
Clown Shower. Water sprays from this friendly fellow's nose and boxing gloves for a fun family experience.
Giraffe Shower. A new water feature from Polin, this creative attraction will appeal to both the very young and the young-at-heart.
Mushroom Shower. This appealing feature is the centerpiece of many facilities' children's areas with its variety of options in both sizes and color choices.
One of the features of Polin's slides that make them particularly appealing for high-end resorts such as the Hilton Dalaman Sarigerme is the sophisticated look of its products. Polin's waterslides are all manufactured using RTM, also known as resin-transfer molding. This technique allows the products to be physically and aesthetically superior, which Polin refers to as Magic Shine. That shiny, smooth exterior and many other advantages of this latest technology gives them a quality that appeals to the type of guests who stay at these types of resorts. They expect the best, and both the Hilton and Polin deliver on all levels.
Polin's regional office will oversee development of the all-season Siberian facility, which will feature a variety of popular Polin Waterparks attractions.
Turkey (5 August 2016) - Enduring a Siberian winter means suffering through long months of temperatures that regularly plunge into negative numbers. In the town of Tyumen, Russia, for example, the average temperature in January is -16.7 degrees C (1.9 degrees F). Even during the summer, weather remains cool. The average temperature in July is only 18.6 degrees C (65.5 degrees F).
Residents of the Zarechny neighborhood, however, will gain some welcome relief to their frigid climate when a new indoor waterpark - the largest amusement and health complex of its kind - opens next April.
The burgeoning waterpark industry in Russia led Polin Waterparks (Turkey) to open an office in the country several years ago specifically to manage the development of these facilities and serve the waterpark industry int he region the best way possible. Now a leader in bringing waterpark attractions to the country, Polin's previous installations include the Megacenter Gorizont Aquapark in Rostov-on-Don and Gorki Indoor Waterpark just outside Ryazan, H20 Waterpark and many more in different cities of the country. ( Please see our google maps application for all our references in Russia.)
Polin will be working with local investment group Sibentel on the facility.
Plans for the futuristic facility include large translucent domes overhead to let in the sun, while wide expanses of curved glass hold back glacial gales. Palm trees will spread leafy fronds over guests relaxing and swimming within the warm, temperate interior.
While those elements might be incentive enough for many to visit the center, the true attraction will likely involve less restful - and more heart-pounding - experiences: a variety of Polin's most popular waterslides.
Among the 10+ waterslides planned for the more than 10,000-square-meter (107,000-square-feet) facility, Polin Waterparks will be installing three of its most popular:
Turbolance Slide. Tyumen will be the first all-season facility in the country to feature this extreme slide. On it, riders' adrenaline surges seconds into the ride as their two-person rafts shoot through a series of steep drops and curves. Their momentum reaches a maximum as they are propelled uphill on a wide, sweeping, vertical slope. Rushing to the top, just before they seemingly shoot over the edge, gravity safely pulls them backward in a reverse ride. As their raft turns in circles, they are thrust up and over another giant incline before ending in a splash pool.
Windigo. This sophisticated thrill ride begins with guests entering alongside one another in enclosed tubes that then spread out to create geometrical curving patterns high above the ground. Each slide curls around, parallel with the others, with from two to four on each side. Eventually, the tubes realign to create a series of side-by-side, high-speed multiracer lanes.
Magic Hole.An enclosed slide with tubes that feature a unique elliptical shape with a flat bottom, this ride pushes guests from side to side as they are launched through wide curves. Rafts of varying sizes speed through the circular path before exiting into a splash pool. (A run-out exit is another option.)
A separate children's area will be available for the youngest guests, and several large pools will offer more relaxed recreation, including a wave pool.
Additional amenities at the facility will be a 170-room hotel and a complex of baths and saunas - about 15 different types, including Finnish, Scandinavian and Turkish options - that will take advantage of local mineral springs.
The facility will be able to accommodate 5,000 visitors a day and anticipates as many as a million a year. Its developer hopes the park will attract residents from nearby cities of Chelyabinsk, Omsk and Yekaterinburg, as well from the Northern Okurgov.
Selim Doguoglu, head of the Russian office of Polin Waterparks, says Polin's reputation in that country created the need for a local office so that he and his staff could more easily oversee operations there.
"Polin is a recognized leader for its innovative and smartly engineered aquatic attractions," he says. "We've already built several of the most successful waterpark facilities in the country, and we expect this one in Tyumen will quickly match those.
"Being an all-season facility gives it an edge over other entertainment options," he adds. "Families can enjoy it year-round. There are not a lot of entertainment offerings that accommodate the wide range of ages that families include, from toddlers to seniors. So we have high expectations for Tyumen's long-term success."
