Ardac Elite draws visitors to ICE stand

Money Controls’ Chief Executive, Mike Innes, declared ICE “a big success for the company”, a comment based on both the number of visitors to its stand and their positive reaction.
The centrepiece of the stand was the Ardac Elite bill and ticket acceptor. Launched before last year’s show, Ardac Elite has now been extensively proven in the field and is enjoying unprecedented success with both OEMs and casino operators. So much so, that at the last count, there were over 30,000 units deployed worldwide.
Mike was particularly pleased with the welcome visitors gave to the new 4-way barcode reading option for Ardac Elite: “It’s frustrating, for customers and casino operators alike, when valid tickets are not accepted on first-time insertion; with this new option, whichever way a ticket is inserted Ardac Elite will read it.”
Mike regards a second new feature, the display on a PDA of a full-colour image of the last-note inserted, as equally important for casino operators: “With Ardac Elite, disputes can now be resolved in seconds, with no need to remove the cashbox: all floor staff need do is connect a PDA to the USB socket on the front of the Ardac Elite for instant proof of what note was inserted last.”
Last-note display and other advanced features are possible thanks to Ardac Elite’s unique image capture and data processing technology: a full-colour, whole image is taken of every bill and barcode ticket inserted.
“With first-time acceptance rates in excess of 97% for street grade notes and for barcode tickets, you can see why operators are delighted with Ardac Elite,” continued Mike. “On top of that, it has proven to be remarkably reliable and needs virtually no maintenance, maximising in-service availability.

07/12/07 - The Complete Payment Portfolio

Money Controls displays full range at IMA

From coin acceptance, coin payout and bill acceptance to payment integration, Money Controls has it covered, with the most comprehensive portfolio of payment products for the amusement industry. And all of these products will be on display at next month’s IMA show in Düsseldorf.
Money Controls has an enviable reputation in the amusement sector, gained by working closely with machine manufacturers for over forty years. This collaboration, coupled with Money Controls’ application engineering expertise, ensures that they deliver cost-effective, reliable products that perfectly meet the needs of each individual OEM.

The world-proven SR3 and SR5i coin acceptors will be on the Money Controls stand (No. 8a/G12).
These incorporate a host of innovations that guarantee security and trouble-free operation, such as full remote download capability and an encrypted communication protocol that takes security to new levels.
The long-serving Universal Hopper, renowned throughout the industry for its unbeatable reliability, will be displayed alongside the versatile Compact Hopper. With a wide range of bowls, the Compact Hopper offers a large capacity within a small footprint and can be fitted in many applications, including retrofit.

Ardac Elite, Money Controls’ latest bill acceptor, will be on show, together with the well-established Lumina and Lumina Rotor acceptors. Incorporating state-of-the-art image capture and data processing techniques, Ardac Elite delivers the highest first-time acceptance of both new and street-grade bills; this has resulted in increased cashbox take for all of the many operators around the world who have retrofitted Ardac Elite.

Completing the line-up will be PayLink, the USB integration module that dramatically reduces the time-to-market for PC-based machines. Supporting both Windows and Linux operating systems, PayLink simplifies the creation of software for PC-based gaming machines by integrating a variety of payment peripherals into new machine platforms.
Heino Schlichting, General Manager of Money Controls GmbH, is leading the company’s presence at IMA and is looking forward to meeting existing customers, as well as welcoming new visitors to the stand: “With such a comprehensive portfolio on display, we are sure to have something to interest you, whether it’s a single product or a complete payment solution.”

9/10/07 - Ardac Elite excels in European Central Bank tests
Money Controls' Ardac Elite bill and ticket acceptor has achieved the best possible results in tests undertaken by the European Central Bank (ECB), proving once again that it is leading the way in bill validation and fraud rejection.

The tests, conducted in August at the ECB's test facility, were in two parts: a counterfeit test, in which Ardac Elite detected every single counterfeit; and a recognition test, in which Ardac Elite accepted every genuine note, regardless of its condition. These results put Ardac Elite ahead of the equivalent bill acceptors from Money Controls' major competitors.

Erik van der Weide, whose team is responsible for creating the banknote data tables for Ardac Elite, was pleased but not surprised by the test results: 'Ardac Elite's exceptional performance is due to a combination of advanced technology, with over 200,000 data points recorded for each note inserted, and the experience and expertise of my team,' he explained.

'With Ardac Elite EP, our hand-held support tool, the note tables can be uploaded to an Ardac Elite in a matter of seconds. What's more, updated note tables, and firmware, can be downloaded from our website and uploaded to an Ardac Elite in its host machine,' concluded Erik.

The ECB tests follow on from a series of Ardac Elite trials conducted and independently monitored by casino operators worldwide. These trials also confirmed that Ardac Elite leads the way in bill validation and fraud rejection.

8/10/07 - Comestero Group pushes the boundaries of money handling
There are eager expectations on the next edition of Enada Rome, which will be held from 11 to 14 October in the Italian capital's new leading edge expo centre. This is a key event for the Italian Gaming Industry, in which Comestero Group aims to be a key protagonist: it will participate with a 120 square metre stand (Pav. 3 n° 131), and will showcase a unique range of payment system solutions which promise to make an impact, by pushing the boundaries of money handling.

Great expectations rely in particular on the new coin to note and note to coin change machines 2Change and 4Change. Further to the performances featured by all traditional change machines, Comestero Group's new series provides a wide selection of both coin and banknote change options, to satisfy the highest change requirements. Here safety performances are impeccable. Hoppers and note dispensers are protected by an excellent locking system, whereas the better improved anti-theft device Locky system grants total protection for both the change machine and the premises where it is installed. On show will be also the new Changeuro Easy Plus with discriminator, a unique hopper which allows to work simultaneously with up to three different types of coins.

An other innovation is GSM-GEST, the telemetry and remote control system for Comestero Group change machines. Especially devised to simplify the daily routines of all gaming operators, GSM-GEST ensures a constant control of the change machine via mobile phone, avoiding expensive interventions on site. It is now available with new functions. The cutting-edge is the possibility to set privileges according to the type of user - manager or operator - and up to eight different users. The management software is completely free of charge and will be shown as a preview in a special area of Comestero Group stand.

Interesting novelties enrich also the payment systems range, with two different solutions especially devised for newslots: the smart coin sorter Leonardo with Stop and the new Duo Hopper Suzo, their best value being the possibility to manage three different types of coins with a reduced equipment. Whereas all coin sorters in the market can only sort and drive coins to a certain destination, Leonardo with Stop can even discriminate in total autonomy one type of coin (i.e. 50c) and reject it, when needed. Besides, Duo Hopper is the ideal solution to dispense two different types of coin at the same time (i.e. 1€ and 2€) and form a winning combination together with a Cube Hopper dispensing 50c.
