The Specialist Buyers Guide for the Renewable Energy Industry
EEEGR - The East of England Energy Group is a non-profit business association representing the interests of over 300 energy producers and the supply chain, including skills providers who support the industry. Established in 2001, EEEGR has been key in forming a collective voice for the industry within the region and articulating this nationally and internationally. EEEGR is an ‘All Energy’ business development and skills organisation, constantly striving to identify new prospects for members to secure new opportunities to grow their businesses regionally, nationally and internationally.
EEEGR’s mission is to be the source of new opportunities and knowledge to enable member companies to strategically grow their businesses. EEEGR organises events, conferences, exhibitions, networking sessions, meetings and social functions to stimulate the industry and to place buyers in front of relevant vendors. Our Special Interest Groups (SIGs) operate across a range of subjects and markets and assist members to identify opportunities and recognise risks.
Great Yarmouth Borough Council supports existing businesses and new investors to take advantage of the 16GW of planned and installed offshore wind capacity off the coast of Great Yarmouth.
The town boasts a deep water port with £30 million planned investment and extensive marine energy supply chain.
Looking to the future, Great Yarmouth probably has the world’s largest concentration of offshore wind farm sites within 100 miles, including UK Round 3 wind farms East Anglia Array, Hornsea and Dogger
With its proven expertise, good accessibility and the right location, Great Yarmouth was also chosen to host the operations and maintenance for Dudgeon Offshore Wind Farm in 2014 because of the flexibility of its 24/7 harbour, including the ability to handle a range of vessels, and the opportunity to locate offices and warehousing on the quayside. The purpose-built base was opened in 2016.
