BFPA Training Academy has for many years been passionate about raising standards within the fluid power (hydraulics and pneumatics) market and industry as a whole. As a result we have created a suite of valuable training courses that have been developed by utilising the knowledge of industry experts, so no matter what industry you are associated with be it: Construction, Marine, Agriculture, Oil and Gas, Offshore, Renewable energy, Rail, Mining, and many other industries, these training courses from the BFPA Training Academy will be relevant for both employers and employees.

The BFPA’s series of short generic training courses are designed to increase and improve safety for people who work with hydraulic and pneumatic hoses at all levels: from the system designer and field engineer, to the machine operator and the person who actually makes hose assemblies.

Since 2009 when the BFPA first launched the Foundation Safety course and the Hose Assembly Skills Training Programme numbers on both courses have grown year on year. Due to market demand 2014 saw the introduction of two new courses, the Hose Integrity, Inspection and Management course and the Small Bore Tubing Integrity course and in 2017 a one day refresher course for the Hose Assembly Skills programme was added. The new Hydrostatic Proof Pressure Testing course was launched in 2018. 

All five BFPA training courses are available nationally across the UK throughout the year and can be accessed directly from the BFPA through either our Open Course Programme, through agreed On Site training or through one of our Approved Training Partners.
