The Specialist Buyers Guide for the Oil and Gas Industry
Peter Brotherhood’s expertise is in the design, manufacture, installation and servicing of steam turbines, gas compressors, gear boxes and combined heat and power (CHP) systems.
We are a world leader in designing, manufacturing and servicing steam turbines and turbine generator (TG) sets up to 40 MW. With thousands of steam turbine installations in more than 100 countries we have a reputation for reliability and on-time delivery at a competitive price.
Our products include:
We are the UK’s only producer of steam turbines with an output up to 40MW which has applications in waste heat recovery, the FPSO and FLNG markets and the British Navy Astute class submarine new build program. We are a world leader in turbo generators for FPSO vessels, including the worlds largest of 27 MW and have supplied steam turbines to many of the world’s leading FPSO operators.
Peter Brotherhood Customer Services offers a unique combination of the experience and expertise of an original equipment manufacturer, coupled with the responsiveness of a service organisation.
Bellows Technology Ltd design and manufacture thin-wall metallic pipe expansion joints, stainless steel bellows assemblies and flexible compensators. Our engineers provide bellows design expertise and a vast depth of product knowledge, whilst our manufacturing capability is tailored to deliver bespoke expansion joint assemblies and the correct solution to match the needs of our customer.
Our flexible approach to bespoke bellows design and manufacture of custom expansion joints, in addition to our urgent bellows delivery service and bellows repair service, has resulted in satisfied customers across the world.
Our expansion joint assemblies are produced either as replacements for existing items or as custom bellows for new build projects. We can manufacture replacement bellows using patterns, samples, customer drawings or sketches. We have also undertaken a number of bellows repair projects.
Alternatively, our engineers are on-hand to discuss the operating conditions of your system and assist in developing a purpose designed bellows expansion joint design.

Problems We Solve:
Component failure is usually due to a sequence or combination of events which can initiate from the design and choice of materials through to manufacturing processing and assembly including the application of heat, welding and grinding, as well as machining and distortion of the part due to bending, rolling or forging.
In services conditions can also contribute to the failure of a part such as variation in temperature and environmental conditions, uneven, high or low cyclic loads or stress profile, compression, torsion and bending as well as foreign object damage. Matching the maintenance needs of the component to its operating conditions and environment is also important to reduce the effects of ageing and wear.
Curtiss-Wright Surface Technologies support every stage of the manufacturing process from design and new manufacture through to in service maintenance, repair and overhaul of components – increasing the strength and performance of parts and reducing costs and downtime.
