Barton Firtop Engineering is the centre of excellence for ‘Strainer and Filtration Technology’.

We are an internationally approved brand. We achieve the ‘lowest pressure drops in the world’ through our continual development of ‘green technology’ utilising 3D Modelling, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Finite Element Analysis (FEA), with full validation through our live flow test rig.

We are accredited to: ISO 9001:2015, ISO 3834-2:2005, ISO/TS 29001:2011, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, SSIP and Safe Contractor Approved.

We are a manufacturer of: Filters, Strainers, Coalescers, Separators, Pressure Vessels, Flame Arresters, Sight Glasses, Static Mixers and Spools.

We have a ‘state of the art’ manufacturing facility in the UK, incorporating Machine Shop, Pipework and Vessel Fabrication Shop and a full set of testing facilities to 1,700 Bar g (25,000psi). We also own a large manufacturing plant in Goa, India which provides highly competitive, fully machined and tested cast Strainer and Filter Housings sourced from high quality ISO and Vendor approved foundries. All Barton Firtop India equipment passes through our UK facility with screen manufacture, final assembly and testing (UK Origin).

We are experts in design and project management; focused to achieve on-time delivery of Strainer and Filtration equipment to meet complex project specifications for materials, manufacture, NDE, documentation and quality control.

Our stock of Y-Type, Basket and Duplex Strainers exceeds $3 million. Our stock units commence at 0.5” NB (DN 15mm) with our largest being 30” (DN 750mm) Basket Strainers. We currently manufacture up to 90” NB (DN 2200mm).

Materials available include Carbon Steel/Low Temperature Carbon Steel and Alloys ranging from Stainless Steel to Duplex SS, Super Duplex SS, 6Mo, Nickel Alloys (Alloy 625 and 825), Cunifer and Titanium.
