The latest development of the ECC Micro generation. For expeditions where nothing is left to chance and above all where damp conditions challenge the limits of down. To meet that challenge we have developed a highly breathable, triple laminate as the waterproof sleeping bag shell. We have named this ultralight laminated fabric C-tex (Carinthia - Tex). C-tex ist highly breathable - light as a feather and quiet even in freezing conditions - tough thanks to the highly elastic laminate - windproof - waterproof - packs down small We don't believe in sleeping bags made of waterproof material with lots of seams. The seams alone reduce the bag's waterproofness. They also stubbornly resist convection which means that moisture given off from the body cannot escape to the outside. The result is that the down becomes damp which can result in ice forming on the inside of the sleeping bag. Our C-tex cover creates a separate waterproof shell around the sleeping bag and is only attached to it at the zipper. Moisture can pass right through the C-tex cover and condense outside the sleeping bag insulation.
