The MICROSPACE® MPC21 computer system contains the MSB800 board and its interfaces. It boots from CompactFlash, LAN, USB or the optionally integrated 2.5" hard drive. Besides the functions of the MPC20, the MPC21 (46mm high) has 2x COM (1x external, 1x internal), LPT and a PCI/104 slot available. Video input allows a camera to be connected. The MiniPCI socket makes it possible to integrate WLAN or field busses. Power is supplied directly with 12/24Volt or with a 110/220V power supply.

The main focus is on the two LAN ports, the service-friendly hard drive and the expansion with 2 PC/104-Plus cards. The hard drive can be replaced without opening the housing or be replaced with a robust CompactFlash disk (part no. 815050). Two internal PCI/104-Plus (ISA & PCI) slots are available for expansion. There are 3 connector openings (X1, X2 and X3) in the replaceable front panel for cabling additional functions. The power comes from a plug-in power supply or via the connecting terminals (optional). 24 programmable I/O lines are available for control purposes.
