Our Shelf edge Displays represent a major step forward in our line-up of ‘Display Link’ enabled devices.
The Digital Shelf Edge concept enables up to 72pcs of 4.3” TFT displays to be driven individually by a single USB connection. See below block Diagram
This is a brand new concept- exhibited for the first time as screen Expo 2011 but has now been improved and the cost reduced.
The Hardware components required to drive the shelf edge are relatively simple.
-The Shelf is split into Sections of two or three displays, which fit together in the required number to a suitable edge size
-Each shelf edge requires a ‘shelf controller’ board which can drive between 2 and 11 displays.
-Up to 6 shelf edge controllers can be connected to a host PC via a USB hub
-The solution is Software independent, however we can suggest players that will run the complete system.
The solution is available in several forms:
1- Hardware only. You can buy the components of the system. Display modules / Controller boards, and build them into your own housings to offer complete solution to your customer
2- We can offer a simple shelf edge housing for the display modules in your required size
3- We can offer a complete solution including player Software.
