As we approach the Peru Gaming Show in August 2008 the team of Casino Technology’s Latin American branch has a lot of positive news about the company’s expansion into the region.
The representative office, which was opened in Lima, Peru last September under the name TransAtlantic Gaming, has made great progress in market expansion of the company in a range of countries, including Peru, Colombia, Venezuela, Uruguay, Panama and Mexico.
In order to cope with the increased customer base the sales team was recently enlarged with two new members: Stefan Enchev and Georges Didier. David Nicholls, General Manager TAG comments: ‘I am really satisfied by the fact that we now have in our team those two young specialists, with their extensive knowledge and professional experience in casino equipment sales. An additional advantage for us is that Stefan has his background in European casino markets while Georges Didier is experienced with the local market in Peru. Casino Technology’s Latin American Operation will be able to present to the Peru Gaming Show audience a range of certified products available for operation in Peru and other countries in the region.

21 July 2008 Kontron AG books major EUR 15 million order in Russia
Kontron AG, one of the world's leading manufacturers of embedded computer systems, is further expanding its promising emerging markets business. The company has received a major order in Russia worth EUR 15 million. As a partner of Siemens AG - the related agreements have just been signed - Kontron will supply complex embedded computer systems as part of the overall project to establish new central distribution centers for Russia's entire energy system. The Russian state is the customer of the overall project. The aim is to make the first deliveries as early as the third quarter of 2008, while the installation phase is scheduled for completion by 2011. Kontron will also continue to be engaged in the project for several further years as a result of maintenance agreements.
Along with applications in telecommunications, medical technology, and the infotainment sector, the energy sector is one of Kontron AG's strongest growing vertical markets. Last year the company already generated 14 percent of total revenue of EUR 446.5 million in this promising area.
