Manufacturers of state-of-the-art video slot machines, SIG Expo are looking to going global at ICE 2008, which takes place at London’s Earls Court Exhibition Centre between 22nd and 24th January.
The Russia-based company, exhibiting at ICE for the first time, want to take advantage of the internationalism afforded by the London Show. Director of Sales, Roy Choudkhuri confirmed: “After being long-time visitors to ICE, 2008 marks our debut at the show. We feel that, with the growing potential in Eastern Europe and the glut of visitors attending ICE from the Americas and Africa, the potential is there to move our business onto the next stage. It is, quite simply, THE Gaming show in the world - the best, the largest. Everybody who has something to do with this industry attends.”
Choudkhuri also noted that, while casting his eye around the global casino industry, there remain opportunities closer to home. He added: “The event offers a unique chance to pick up trends from Europe; whether we were exhibiting or not, we would have visited ICE.”
SIG Expo will be exhibiting the latest single and double screen slot machines with background animation at ICE 2008. Choudkhuri concluded: “The animations are 3D, colourful and relaxing for the customer when playing. The theme can be custom-made to suit any country's or nation's characters.”

Atronic Systems has broken ground with the company’s first ever GALAXIS™ casino management system sold and installed in the UK at the recently opened The Isle at Coventry Casino. The newly built casino, located at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry, is owned and operated by the Isle Casinos Ltd part of the Isle of Capri Casinos Group which is headquartered in Biloxi, Mississippi.
The Isle of Coventry opening was held on the 6th July 2007 presenting an impressive 100,000 square meters of pure opulence including a 60 meter indoor waterfall. It also includes restaurants, bars and a stage area for live shows. The casino offers players a range of services and includes 20 slot machines, 50 Novomatic Touchbet roulette stations and 32 gaming tables all connected to Atronic Systems’ sophisticated GALAXIS™ products.
The Atronic Systems installation included Star|SLOTS and Star|TABLES which takes care of all accounting requirements for slot machines and gaming tables, the multi-functional Star|MARKETING which encompasses player tracking, cage and reception management, and the highly successful smart card cashless system, CHIP CASH™ enabling the casino to fully function as a cashless venue.
An important challenge for Atronic Systems was to interface the CHIP CASH™ system with The Isle at Coventry’s Micros Point of Sale system. This interface enables players with a CHIP CASH™ smart card to use player’s funds or promotional points on the card for purchases within the casino such as at the bar or in the restaurants. In addition, it is the first time ever that the CHIP CASH™ system has been installed on gaming tables for the purchase and redemption of chips.

Cypriot software specialists Magneta Technologies, who are making their global trade show debut at ICEi, are preparing to target new international clients at the 2008 London show. The privately-owned, Nicosia-based company have decided to exhibit at the Earls Court event in order to build on their growing domestic success. Owner Nicos Panayides commented: "We have decided to exhibit at the biggest international event we could for the exact reason of attracting new customers from outside our territory.
