12/10/07 - SUZO FOCUS ON ROMANIA
Industry veteran Robert van Enkhuijzen (pictured) from Suzo International attended the first AWP / Gaming show in Romania and came back with a glowing report. The Entertainment Arena 2007 was held in Bucharest from 13th - 16th September.

Robert is indeed a long-serving veteran of the industry and has been visiting Romania on business for many years. This long-term approach allows a valued judgement on the movement of a market. This movement was apparent at the exhibition. Robert stated, 'It has always been a pleasure doing business in Romania. The people are creative, always looking for new opportunities. An honest comment is that in the past the developments at times lagged behind those in Western Europe. This year's show underlined that this is no longer the case'.

The Entertainment Arena was supported by many strong regional players, including EGT, Casino Technology, BGT, Mega Game, City Games and Danemar. 'My figures show a machine increase of 23% compared with last year in Romania. And the market is still growing. These are exciting times in Romania', Robert concluded.

11/10/07 - NOVOMATIC CELEBRATES A CONTINENTAL NEXUS AT SAGSE

Austrian Gaming Industries GmbH (AGI), the wholly owned subsidiary of the Novomatic Holding, celebrated a great debut appearance at the SAGSE show in Buenos Aires, Argentina, from October 3rd - 5th 2007. Although held in Buenos Aires, Argentina, SAGSE is much more than a one country show. Indeed, over the past 14 years of its existence, SAGSE has become a vital nexus point for the entire central and south American gaming industry and attracts visitors and exhibitors from all over the world. AGI exhibited at the Costa Salguero Center venue for the first time, after announcing plans for a major continent-wide expansion into South America earlier this year. Not that the company or its products are any strangers to the region as the Novomatic brand has recorded strong success and market share in recent years in countries as diverse as Peru and Uruguay. Expectations ahead of the show were high and the results exceeded those expectations by a considerable margin. Visitors from numerous countries headed for the impressive Austrian Gaming Industries booth and were clearly excited by what they saw. The strength and diversity of the latest Coolfire™ II game range (presented in the all new Novo Super Vision™ upright cabinet - which has been designed especially for the South American market and thus will be exclu¬sive¬ly distributed in those countries - and also in slant top configuration) proved to be a big hit with SAGSE's visitors. Another attraction was the Australian manufactured Flexi-Link Jackpot System that was brought for the first time to South America as a result of a recently signed strategic alliance between AGI and the system's manufacturer Independent Gaming PTY Ltd. All three days of the show were busy on the Novomatic booth with new contacts and relation¬ships forged across South America and with a significant volume of new business being concluded. Jens Halle, Managing Director AGI, noted at the show's end: 'SAGSE and our appearance here as major exhibitors signals AGI's clear intention to accelerate the pace of our expansion in South America. The reaction of SAGSE's visitors to the new products that we have presented here in Buenos Aires has been incredibly satisfying and gives us an even greater motivation to increase our presence in the vibrant and exciting national markets that make up the South American continent. We have made a very clear declaration of our intentions here at SAGSE and we look forward to building and expanding our market participation in the immediate future.'

11/10/07 - Invitation to attend KioskCom Europe
As organisations begin to gear up for Christmas, you are invited to attend KioskCom Europe's Self Service Expo 2007, where the combined expo and free Seminar Programme will reinforce the value of point-of-service, point-of-information and point-of-sale self-service solutions introduced at lastyear's show, and educate visitors on how to deploy, manage and maintain self service technology to reduce costs, increase customer loyalty, and create long-term revenue opportunities.

Phil Hunter, Managing Director of KioskCom Europe's Self Service Expo 2007, explains, 'Over the past few years, interest in self-service technologies has boomed, vastly improving customer service, increasing revenue and driving down costs - a fact that was clearly illustrated by the number of visitors to last year's inaugural show. We delivered a lot more attendees than we were expecting last year and the proof of just how good that audience was for the exhibitors is the fact that we are having to nearly double the size of the show for this year.'

KioskCom Europe draws upon an 11 year history of successful events in the USA. The two-day event will bring together Europe's premier showcase of Kiosk and Self Service professionals, industry icons, trusted brands and new innovations, to provide visitors with a comprehensive briefing on all of the issues facing deployment and illustrate how Interactive Self Service can work for them and their customers.

The event will raise and answer such questions as:

With the market for self-service technology continuing to grow at an astounding rate, what are the potential implications for organisations who fail to adopt it? What can organisations looking to deploy self-service kiosk technology learn from the experiences of their UK & European counterparts? How can European companies take advantage of self-service kiosk technology to increase profitability, create long-term revenue generating opportunities, and increase customer loyalty?
