20 February 2008 Display Technology launches its new range of Professional TFTs
Display Technology recently showcased its entire range of professional LCD displays. The latest models in the MAXline range - the 46" Brilan, 52" Brilan, and 57" Brilan displays offer native 1920 x 1080 (High Definition 1080p) resolution, and is capable of supporting a wide variety of data and video sources via analogue and digital inputs.
Environmentally friendly, powder coated metal housings as well as brushed silver anodized aluminium, continuous casting frames lend MAXLine solutions an extremely high-quality appearance.Heat-optimised and prepared for wall mounting or on a stand, they have been developed as large-scale displays for flexible use.The use of industrial standard Samsung® quality panels allows MAXLine to achieve a superior display quality. An optional 4mm Mirogard protective glass screen additionally reduces reflections and increases contrast. The Quick Clean design was developed to enable direct access to the frame profile, thus making cleaning the front of the housing more straightforward - the use of the protective glass screen means that the units are not affected by commonly used cleaning agents.
The HD resolution, combined with fast response time of six milliseconds (grey-to grey), 1500:1 contrast ratio and 700cd brightness delivers an amazing image quality with high fidelity colour reproduction. A low-reflection screen surface also helps to improve image quality in high ambient-light environments such as public spaces or studio environments to name but a few. Viewing angles of 176 Degrees in all directions allows the display to be clearly visible on all planes.
A number of built in features adds to the versatility of these models such as Picture-In-Picture (PIP) plus an optional tiling function enables multi-screen (videowall etc.) tiled displays without the need for an external image processor. This is a very easy user-friendly solution allowing the user to create very simply a videowall application for retail, professional or industrial applications. They are easy to integrate and have standard VESA mountings for portrait or landscape mounting.
Custom housing and branding solutions are available, including monitor or PC interfaces which can be used in landscape or portrait mode which adds to the appeal and flexibility of design.
Managing Director Chris Bartram says "The large format Digital Signage type displays are an excellent addition to our range and as the manufacturer we can offer our customers great benefits and flexibility that are not normally available from the larger manufacturers and 'box shifters'. We feel we can compete very comfortably with a number of the large brands like NEC, Mitsubishi, and Sharp as we offer that professional technical solution backed up by in-house engineering customers can talk to, plus we offer customization which the big guys do not! But I tell customers "don't believe me just talk to our technical sales team and you will experience the difference."

19 February 2008 The Atronic Experience just keeps getting better.
Atronic’s highly successful range of Deal or no Deal™ products has been further expanded with the launch of the latest linked concept based on the popular TV show by Endemol. Deal or no Deal™ - The Experience is the latest 2-level progressive featuring three exciting bonuses.
Deal or no Deal™ - The Experience is driven by Atronic’s unique, in-machine, progressive controller giving operators the ability to provide a powerful link without additional expense and support requirements of 3rd party equipment and infrastructure.
The Deal or no Deal Bonus is mystery triggered and the probability of triggering it is at least quadrupled when playing the new betting option, “Side Bet”. Additionally, playing a higher bet increases the bonus wins making this a great motivator for maximising the average bet per game.
The Deal or no Deal Bonus takes advantage of the dual screen technology of Atronic’s state-of-the-art e-motion™ cabinet, displaying the 3 bonus options on the upper screen with the interactive buttons displayed on the lower screen. The bonus round features the extremely popular Lucky Case bonus made famous from the TV show, a Mystery Credit Bonus and the exciting new The Experience Bonus.
In The Experience Bonus players are presented with two cases and a Banker’s Offer. The cases randomly contain the Minor and Major Jackpots, while the Banker’s Offer is an average of the two progressives. Players must select one of the three options for a guaranteed prize.
The Lucky Case Bonus is similar to the thrill and excitement of the well known Cash Box Bonus of the Deal or no Deal™ Link. The main difference is that players have 20 cases from which to choose. In the Mystery Credit Bonus, the player is awarded a random credit amount.
Atronic International’s Chief Operating Officer, Thierry Aiglon, commented: “We have had great response from presenting our new extension of the Deal or no Deal™ product range at G2E 2007 in Las Vegas and ICE 2008 in London. The new features, and especially the Side Bet, generated a lot of interest and we are confident that Deal or no Deal™ - The Experience will become as popular as the TV Show itself.”
