Irish Market Expansion Continues Unabated At AmEx 2008

The Exhibition was held at the Green Isle Hotel, Dublin on Tuesday 4 &
Wednesday 5 March 2008.  The show had a definite upbeat atmosphere,
contributed to by a further increase in both exhibitor and visitor
numbers. Once again this year's event had a very busy first day and busier
than usual second day with many visitors returning on the Wednesday
and a far greater number of pre-registered visitors showing up than
in previous years.

There was a broadening of the visitor base to include Casinos and
Betting Shops in addition to the traditional Gaming and Amusement
operators.  There was also a noticeable increase in the number of
visitors from locations such as Bowling and Play Centres.
International visitors this year included trade members from Britain,
USA, Canada, Australia, Argentina, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany,
Austria, Spain, Latvia, Russia, Hungary, Slovenia, Czech Republic and
Poland.

New exhibitors included British companies, anxious to conduct
business abroad while the industry at home currently offers them very
few opportunities, and companies offering equipment for the
developing casino and betting markets in Ireland.
The number of exhibitors and visitors were both up by more than 10
percent and new exhibitors resulted in a greater variety of products
being offered.  In addition to exhibitor-to-visitor sales, AmEx also
continued its role of fostering exhibitor-to-exhibitor sales and
visitor-to-visitor sales.
Most exhibitors were more than happy with the amount of business
conducted - some were actually overcome by the level of business
transacted and the potential for additional orders in the coming
months for a wide variety of products.

The Casino Committee presented its report to the Minister For Justice
and is awaiting his instructions to prepare legislation for Ireland's
growing casino sector. It now seems likely that the same committee
may also examine arcade gaming and other aspects of the gaming and
betting business.
However, those involved in the trade could be forgiven for not
attaching too much importance to promises of legislation.  In recent
years the industry has not only survived but prospered without
amending legislation and looks like continuing to do so in the short
to medium term.

There was a wide variety of gaming equipment shown - some aimed at
the Southern market and some at the very different Northern market.
Amusement, novelty and redemption games continue to play an important
role in the growing Irish coin-op market and were included in the
range of equipment presented.
In addition to the exhibition there was a programme of meetings,
business presentations and social gatherings, continuing the show's
reputation for bringing together Irish and international
manufacturers, distributors and operators in a businesslike
atmosphere.

Visitors from all over Ireland and further afield converged on Dublin
for the two most important days in the Irish Gaming & Amusement Trade
Calendar, combining business activity and social events, making it an
occasion not to be missed.

ATRONIC TO LAUNCH NEW PRODUCTS IN LATIN AMERICA

Atronic will launch, for the first time in Latin America, its new Deal or no Deal™ - The Experience, and Roaring Tiger™ linked gaming products at this years FADJA show in Bogotá, Colombia on the 2nd and 3rd April.
After successful launches at G2E 2007 in Las Vegas and ICE 2008 in London, Atronic is confident that the new Deal or no Deal™ - The Experience progressive link, and the Mystery Jackpot link Roaring Tiger™ will receive the same exciting reviews in Latin America.

Deal or no Deal™ - The Experience is a 2-level progressive featuring three exciting bonus rounds: Lucky Case Bonus, Mystery Credits Bonus, and The Experience Bonus. The Lucky Case Bonus is the same well-known concept as featured in previous Deal or no Deal™ games except that players are now presented with 20 cases instead of the usual 10 cases. The Mystery Credits Bonus awards players with instant credit wins. While The Experience Bonus gives players the chance to win either the Major Win, Minor Win or take the bankers offer. In any case players are guaranteed a win.
The award winning Roaring Tiger™ is a 4-level Mystery jackpot based on the ASM – Atronic Super Mystery™ technology, where players have the opportunity to win any one of the four jackpots with any bet wagered. Designed with a stunning Asian theme including a magnificent white tiger, Roaring Tiger™ is a highly flexible multi-level link allowing operators to fully configure all four jackpot levels according to their individual requirements. Higher bets increase the chances to win, which players notice quickly, resulting in higher coin-in.
Additionally on show will be the energetic capers of the cat and mouse chase in Cash Days™, a 3-level mystery jackpot also based on the ASM – Atronic Super Mystery™, developed for Atronic’s Cashline™ and Harmony™ cabinets. Cash Days™ offers very flexible configuration of progressive values, connection of any number of machines including any combination of games regardless of denomination and game features.
Further highlights will be an array of impressive new games from the Atronic library including Harmony™ titles Golden Harp™ and Chinese Tiles™, and the new Cashline™ title Dolphins Dollars™.
The Atronic Latin America team invites you to join them on stand #78 to view and try the latest Atronic products.

Unbeatable products, unbeatable service

That’s the message from Money Controls srl ahead of this month’s Enada Primavera in Rimini. They are stressing both the suitability of their products for the Italian market and the highest level of customer response from their Milan service centre.

Money Controls has the largest selection of hoppers in the industry, and two, the Compact Range and the Combi Hopper System, feature strongly on the company’s stand. Both are ideal for use in Comma 6A machines, meeting all the technical requirements of the new regulation, whilst providing field-proven reliability and security.

With fast payout, in ‘single’ or ‘stream’ mode, a small footprint and a range of bowl options, the Compact hopper range provides a solution whatever the application. As a result, over one million have been supplied worldwide.
Developed to meet the requirements of the Italian AWP market, the Combi Hopper system features a low float, high security and fast payout of €2, €1 and €50c coins from just two hoppers, with no hunting for coins. Launched two years ago, it has already been integrated into machines by major software houses in Italy. It is now available with a high-capacity bowl, making it the ideal solution for handling the increased jackpots in Italy.

The Money Controls’ stand features several other products from the company’s extensive portfolio, including: PayLink, their USB integration module, the SR5i and SR3 coin acceptors, and the Ardac Elite and Lumina bill validators, for the casino and amusement markets, respectively.

Stephan Rosseneu, Western European Sales Manager, based in the company’s Milan office, is looking forward to welcoming new and existing customers to the Money Controls’ stand and show them not just the company’s products but also their enhanced customer service: “With the opening last year of our new centre in Milan, I believe we now deliver the best possible customer response, with full service capability and next-day delivery. Whether you’re an operator or OEM, we’d be delighted to discuss your requirements. Please visit our stand, 005 in Padiglione A5. You will be made most welcome.”
