Casino Zaragoza goes for Novo Multi-Roulette

Novomatic Gaming Spain S.A., the Spanish subsidiary of Austrian Gaming Industries GmbH (AGI), has completed the first Novo Multi-Roulette™ installation in Spain’s autonomous region, Aragon. Casino Zaragoza, owned by the Galician gaming group Comar, now features a brand new Novo Multi-Roulette™. Novomatic Gaming Spain S.A. was officially founded in January 2007 with headquarters in Madrid and was almost immediately expanded with the opening of a sales and service facility in Barcelona. The company is an affiliate of the Novomatic-subsidiary AGI. The new licence granted to Novomatic Gaming Spain S.A. for the autonomous region of Aragon was granted as the third region after Madrid and Catalunya. A broad range of Novomatic gaming products to be licenced and launched in the region of Aragon are to follow soon. Novomatic Gaming Spain’s first step into the market of Aragon is a Novo Multi-Roulette™ installation at Casino Zaragoza.

The casino is part of the Galician gaming group Grupo Comar, a major casino, bingo and gaming hall operator with casino operations in Spain, the Dominican Republic, Venezuela and the Czech Republic as well as on Spanish cruise ships. The new Novo Multi-Roulette™ installation at Casino Zaragoza consists of 12 individual player terminals, a fully automated Roulette wheel and four giant plasma displays. The entire Roulette install-ation is based on the server-based Novo Unity™ multiplayer platform. With eight terminals positioned in the casino’s live gaming area and another group of four attracting guests in the slot area the Novo Unity™ installation proves its great flexibility in terms of gaming floor design. The large plasma displays feature a live camera broadcast of the Roulette wheel as well as the Novo Wheel Info Display™ with detailed game statistics such as minimum/maximum bets, comprehensive even chances statistics as well as last 20 numbers, hot and cold numbers and a live picture of the Roulette wheel. Novo Multi-Roulette™ offers guests an authentic electronic Roulette gaming experience combined with extra comfort and full information service.

Casino Zaragoza’s Director Mr. Feliciano Gomez: “The Novo Multi-Roulette™ is a thrilling new attraction for our guests. It blends in smoothly with our gaming floor design and is a real asset for the casino’s gaming offering. This product has an excellent reputation for its high quality and international success and has thus convinced us that it will be very popular with our guests. Already in the short period of time, that we have the Novo Multi-Roulette™ in operation, it has proves to be a top attraction for our guests.“ Jordi Pedragosa, Sales Director Novomatic Gaming Spain: “This is a very important installation for Novomatic Gaming Spain. Not only is it the first installation for the renowned Grupo Comar but also our first installation under the new licence for the province of Aragon. We are positive that the licenses granted in Madrid, Catalunya and Aragon are the first of a great number of future authorizations for a great range of Novomatic products and innovative gaming solutions throughout Spain. We thank the Casino Zaragoza for their trust and excellent cooperation in this first project of Novomatic Gaming Spain in Aragon.”

ASI aligns with Pizza Expo

The Amusement Showcase International (ASI), the spring trade show for the coin-operated amusement industry sponsored by the American Amusement Machine Association (AAMA), is in the process of negotiating a cross-promotional agreement with the International Pizza Expo in March of 2009.  Both shows will be held at the Las Vegas Convention Center with ASI taking place March 11-13, and Pizza Expo on March 10-12, 2009.

International Pizza Expo is the world's oldest and largest tradeshow for the $30 billion pizza industry.  The show is attended by more than 6,000 pizzeria owners and operators from around the world, and features more than 500 exhibitors showcasing everything from ingredients to equipment.

Plans under discussion include cross-promotion by both groups and a program that honors badges at both shows.  Details of the agreement will be released in the coming months.

The International Pizza Expo is no stranger to AAMA.  It has been a part of AAMA's successful Location Trade Show (LTS) program for several years and has consistently produced high quality leads for participating AAMA members.

AAMA President Mike Rudowicz stated, "The AAMA Board of Directors and ASI Show Committee continually look for strategic alliances that make sense and enhance the ASI experience for exhibitors and attendees alike.  Overlapping dates in the same location made Pizza Expo an obvious and logical choice for cross-promotion."

ASI will also be co-located with Fun Expo for the first time in March of 2009.  Fun Expo is the annual trade show for the family entertainment center industry owned and operated by the International Association for the Leisure & Entertainment Industry (IALEI), American Amusement Machine Association (AAMA) and the Amusement & Music Operators Association (AMOA).
