27/9/07 - SEGA MAKES 'COSMIC' CHANGES
Sega Amusements Europe Ltd. has confirmed details of the widely known changes surrounding its UK distribution network and departure of one of its key players.

From October 1st Cosmic Video Amusements will jointly take on the Sega distribution line for the UK in conjunction with Crown Direct. As Sega has developed over the last few years it has undertaken a string of changes. This latest move shows Sega's commitment to maintaining its position as the market leader, working with the best companies in the industry.

Paul Williams Sega Managing Director commented 'We have been negotiating for some time now with CVA and it is clear that they are best placed in the UK today to support the Sega product and compliment our other distributor, Crown Direct, perfectly'.

In addition Sega's long time UK Sales Manager, Aaron Gilbey will take up position with Cosmic. Gilbey has been involved with Sega in its various guises for 16 years. Both companies feel this creates a perfect scenario; he commented 'I am very sad to leave Sega after all this time, it has been a fantastic experience but I am looking forward to this new phase'.

Cosmic boss, Terry Farr delighted at the new opportunity said, 'This is a great new addition to the Cosmic stable. Having a world leader like Sega on board will take our business to the next level. We believe they have an impressive history for innovative products and a solid long term strategy. With Aaron on board we will exceed every body's expectations. I believe we have a reputation for outstanding customer support and product knowledge. Over the last two years we have significantly refocused CVA to specialise in this sector and I know CVA is now well positioned to do justice to this new line'.

Sega and its two distributors will be showing its products, including as yet unseen Race TV and Primeval Hunt, along with Let's Go Jungle Special Attraction and its skill based UFO Catcher at the London Preview.

26/9/07 - Increasing presence at ATEI
Seven more companies have joined the list increasing their first floor stand space at ATEI 2008. Namco Bandai Games, JNC Sales, ITM Leisure, SGI Imports, Cosmic Video, Russko Ltd and Game Concepts will be increasing their presence on Earls Court's first floor by a total of 309sqm (3,325sq.ft.), an increase of 58 per cent on their combined presence at the 2007 show.

ATEI 2008, which runs from Tuesday 22nd to Thursday 24th January at London's Earls Court Exhibition Centre, sees Namco Bandai increase their year-on-year stand space from 212 to 300sqm (+41.5%), JNC Sales from 83 to 127sqm (+53.0%), ITM Leisure from 75 to 116sqm (+54.7%), SGI Imports from 41 to 92sqm (+124.4%), Cosmic Video from 60 to 89sqm (+48.3%), Russko Ltd. from 47 to 74sqm (+57.4%) and Game Concepts from 13 to 42sqm (+223.1%).

On his company's increased presence at Earls Court, Namco Bandai Games Product Manager John Brennan explained: 'Like many of our contemporaries, ATEI 2007 was very much a case of let's wait and see. As it transpired, we exceeded our expectations. At ATEI 2008, we're building on that success with a bigger stand housing an even greater collection of amusement, novelty, pushers and merchandisers - the theme of our offering is very much 100 per cent skill. We're also going to need greater space for our exciting new Bandai Namco products, and those developed by Namco Europe and our international supply partners, Innovative Concepts in Entertainment, Raw Thrills, IMOtion, 5 Star Redemption and Fusence, partners who prove the maxim that ATEI really is the world's amusement show.'

21/9/07 - Astra at Preview 2008 - A Class Act for the New Act
Astra Games, part of the Novomatic Group of Companies, will reveal a raft of mouth-watering games at Preview 2008, aiming to breath life into the opportunities created by the introduction of the Gambling Act 2005.
